Sensorial Ecotopias

The project “Sensorial Ecotopias" is an artistic-educational project. A multi-thematic/ interdisciplinary project where theatre, movement, visual arts, and photography, explore the themes of climate change and sustainability.

Teenagers with a team of artists work together, aiming to develop a common experience, by applying care on different scales - staff, collective, nature, and urban, artistically researching the most important question that raises questions on our planet: Sustainability.

The project aims to develop sustainability experiences so that we can envision alternative future contracts for a sustainable society.

The multi-thematic actions require the active participation of adolescents in the process: of research-creation-execution while applying tools of the arts. They focus on different dimensions of the space and the body within different social engagements. Participants learn to recognize the structures and functions of the networks that they compose and learn to develop reciprocal relationships with the embodied life phenomena around them.

Spaces function as the "thought" of society. People, the city, and nature act as components, which co-create the values of living diversity. Humans become "neurons" in a living multiplicity. We learn to practice "caring" by jointly revealing the multifaceted concept of Sustainability, and mutually shaping the imaginary dimensions of active biopolitics.
