Moving the Nomadic Body
How do I structure the map of my ephemeral physical space-time?
Movement and language create space. They create time.
The entanglement of imagination and language in our bodies creates kinetic representations.
‘Moving the nomadic body’ applies movement and choreography as tools of critical thinking, awareness, and political action.
It it a workshop of kinetic composition in which the body moves in the real and the imaginary, while choosing to influence and get influenced.
The body is characterized as a complex entity. The body creates spaces and this is expressed by its performativity in space.
Following the feminist geographer Massey, the workshop activates the three notions of space: discursive - imaginary - corporeal and aims to build new maps.
The workshop offers a different way of interacting with the written words and the reasoning space. How our body, by choosing to reject the hierarchy of the mind in understanding language, can perceive and move language differently?
The more sensitive the body is in its ‘ relational representations’, the more power has to act and inform space as a practice of possibilities, shaped by continuous representations and effects of self and other material relations.
The term ‘nomadic body’ has been influenced by the theory of nomadic subjectivity (Deleuze, Guattari, 1985) by stating free thought that travels away from domination and categorization. A nomadic body that perceives the ‘worn standard notions of hegemony’ and moves away from passivity and stagnation.

“Ialemos/ when there is nothing else to mourn, you have to mourn yourself”
“Ialemos/ when there is nothing else to mourn, you have to mourn yourself” is a mourning song,
a simmering protest, with its roots in the past, a whispering voice of the soul that is finding a way to become a scream.
An experiment for a dancer and two musicians to confront the sorrow and grief of the Oppression, to
express it with a contemporary lament, and to provoke the audience to take part in it, and feel part of a
communal voice of collective grief.

My first tic tac of all your seconds: nobody's story or no story at all / Vol1
“My first tic tac of all your seconds” is a perpetual comment based on the idea of a time bomb, which, whereas is heard ticking, will never explode, because its joints are worn by time and environmental factors. The play originates from the modern reality in Greece, seen through the scope of kilometric distance.
As time in the country goes by in mute, the intensity of violence is escalating. As the intensity of violence is escalating, its citizens get used to it, integrate it into their rationality. The spectator is by definition an observer, not participating to a long-distance relationship. Everyone is equally to blame.
A performance for an actor and a dancer, who explore the thin lines of violence in love and hate, who feel that the equilibrium of their lives are dangerously threatened, because one of them sees a walk in the park as a race through blood, stones and tear gas, as a minor or a major war. The irony is that they did not want anything to disturb each one’s desire for the other, they would kill for this desire –maybe this is the most rational “I want” in the world.

TRicky Trigger Video Dance
Tricky Trigger is a playful thought of a bomb. A dream inside a dream.
A pill-bomb is swallowed and the party begins. Will it explode? Or is it just playing with a forgotten - by the society - body?
Solitude of the city. Abandoned joy.
How we can survive in the new reality?

..”Seyt”
..”Seyt” is the result of the connection of the number 6 (six) and 7 (sept).
It is a piece which is in a constantly evolution and indicates an experiment for the dancers, as well for the audience. It does neither pertain to a particular subject nor result an outcome. “Seyt” is based on the repeated changes and moods.
Six completely different changes, fragmented into small pieces., trying to build an “absurd” puzzle. The constant mood changes, without no judgment and logic, characterized the piece with an intense element of taunt. There is a depreciation of communication between the dancers, but with the audience as well.
“Seyt” can reminds us the contemporary scenery of Greek modern reality. Daily, people snowed with changes that they have not chosen, but still they are not in the time point to act or to judge. We are unable to experience fully our feelings and moods/attitudes.. An absurd “puzzle” composes Greek reality..
